No excuses.

Pastor @joshmhart from All Nations Louisville said, "People like to say, 'God ain't through with me yet’ when what they really mean is, ‘I'm not done with it yet.'" That tugged at my wig real good. It reminded me how sometimes I treat God like a genie. I ask Him for favor but don’t meet Him with the same energy. My faith be big but the works are nonexistent. I be tryna coupon the King tbh!

And I know God doesn’t work like, “See, now look at you! I woulda gave it to you if you acted right!” His favor is unmerited, meaning it can’t be earned. But He still wants me to do my best, be my best, give my best! So I can’t use his grace as a cover to keep being mediocre.

Whatever your “it” may be, check your excuses. Instead of starting Monday, just say you want to continue eating trash for a few more days because you're addicted to carbs (a self-drag.) I don't want to procrastinate under the guise of "prep and planning" anymore. 2020 is about execution. I'm going to talk about what I am learning about surrendering in a later post/podcast episode, but I am committing to seeing things through and not expecting God to bless my half-ass efforts.
